WEEK 6 - Glass
This week I am beginning trials with the material glass. I am doing three tests for each material. I placed a latent print in the center of the glass and started the cyanoacrylate fuming process. I allowed the material to sit in the chamber for six minutes for each trial.
Trial 1: In the first trial I noticed that I did not leave the best latent print to develop. When comparing the fingerprint I made in the glass to the original print taken with ink and powder, I did not have the entirety of the fingerprint. For this trial, I was able to identify five out of the six minutiae points.
Trial 2: The second trial ran much smoother than the first. I was able to get more of the print that I was looking for to compare to my original fingerprints. In this trial, I was able to match all six minutiae points.

Wholly wow! This is awesome stuff, Janica. How fascinating. TRAIN is full of so many talented individuals its seriously inspiring to get to work along side y'all. What are the other materials you said you were going to work with? (Other than glass). & What do you think the most challenging aspect of what you're doing is? I had to google the usage of "minutiae." I see how it applies to what you're doing though. What do you see yourself doing long term?
