WEEK 11: Plastic

  This week I am doing trials with the material plastic. I am doing three tests for this material. I placed a latent print in the center of the plastic and started the cyanoacrylate fuming process. I allowed the material to sit in the chamber for six minutes for each trial. 

When placing my latent prints on the plastic, I noticed that I could not see the fingerprint detail. I was hoping o get results similar to the class material. 

Trial 1: The first trial did not go as great as expected. I was not able to get clear details of the minutiae. The minutiae blended together. 

Trial 2: This trial went better than the first. I was able to find four out of six of the minutiae. The remaining minutiae were still blended together.  

Trial 3: This trial was by far the worst of the three. I was not able to get any minutiae points. The print looked hazy overall.
